Multiple Teams · Softball wins first game at Cavemen Classic

Destiny Jennings  collected four hits in four at bats as the softball team defeated Fairfield 12-2 on Friday in the opening game of the Cavemen  Classic at Baker Park in Mishawaka. Jennings  singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth. Taylor Meehan also went 3 for 4 and drove in three runs for the Lady Eagles. Mary Landis  earned the win in the circle. . She pitched five innings, surrendering two runs, three hits, and striking out four. Adams is now 8-11 on the year. They Will Play Hobart and Marian on Saturday and then will play later in the day for consolation or championship  game.
