Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track and Field Finishes 5th at Sectional, Moves on to Regional Meet


The Boys Track & Field Team finished in 5th place on Thursday at the IHSAA Penn Sectional Meet. The team finished with 52 points. The top three in each event qualify for the Regional Meet next Thursday night at Warsaw High School. There are also the possibilities of call backs as well to complete the field at the meet.

Senior Milton Toliver won two events at the meet. Toliver was the Sectional Champion in the 200 Dash and the 400 Dash. In 400, Toliver ran away with a 50.77. In the 200 he won in 22.82.

The 4×400 Relay was the runner up and qualifies for Regionals as well. The team of Jaylen Wright, Shannon Clark, Ngor Agwick, and Jonathan Ngangi finished in 3:30.68.

Also qualifying for the Regional was Tommy Han who set a new PR in the Pole Vault with a jump of 13’0”

Jaylen Wright finished 4th in the 400 with a new PR of 51.97.

Also placing for the Eagles this evening was the 4×800 Relay (5th), Maceo Horton in the 110 Hurdles (7th), Eric Wiliams in the 100 Dash (8th), the 4×100 Relay (7th), Joseph Karban in the 800 Run (8th), and Vamoni Stubbs in the High Jump (7th).

Those that qualify for the IHSAA Warsaw Regional Meet will compete next Thursday beginning at 6:00 PM.
