Girls Varsity Track · Joselyn Mwenifumbo Selected To Run at Midwest Meet of Champions


Senior Joselyn Mwenifumbo has been selected to compete in the 2018 Midwest Meet of Champions this weekend. The Midwest Meet of Champions is the All Star Meet of Track & Field and has senior athletes from Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio all competing against one another.

Mwenifumbo will be competing in the 100 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, and will run a leg on the 4×100 Relay.

Last weekend at the IHSAA State Meet Mwenifumbo set a personal best in the 100 Hurdles in 14.41, finishing in 4th place. She also ran a personal best in the 300 Hurdles at the State Meet in 45.79.

Several times this year and last year she ran legs on the Lady Eagles 4×100 as well.

This year year Joselyn has been named the Most Valuable Athlete of the John Adams Track & Field team, the Marion Relays, and the Northern Indiana Conference for the 2nd year in a row. She is also a 4 time State Qualifier as well and a 3 time Sectional Champion and Regional Champion in 2018.

The meet takes place at Ralph Young Field at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

The Parade of Athletes begins at 11:00 and competition is scheduled to begin shortly after. Joselyn is scheduled to compete at 1:40 in the 100 Hurdles, 2:40 in the 4×100, and 3:05 in the 300 Hurdles.
