The girls soccer team wrapped up day two of play at the St Joe Invitational on Saturday evening, finishing 1-1 on Saturday and recording a record of 1-2 for the weekend.
The team began play in the morning taking on the Mavericks of McCutcheon High School. The Eagles had 4 shots on goal throughout the game but were unable to score. Goalkeeper Makiah McCain was able to save 7 but McCutcheon came out the winner in the game 1-0.
Later in the afternoon the Eagles were able to turn things around against Illiana High School. Adams defeated the Vikings 4-0. In the first half Solena Cruz led things off for the Eagles assisted by Grace Beutter, scoring at the 15 minute mark. At 29 minutes Carla Hernandez scored assisted by Kierra Watford. Hernandez found the net again at 38 minutes, scoring with the assist coming from Anna Borkowski. In the second Borkowski scored the final goal for Adams at 62 minutes. The Eagles had a total of 23 shots on goal in the game.
The team begins the season with a 1-2 record and will play again on Thursday at Plymouth High School. Varsity will play at 5:30 and JV will play at 7:30.
