The cross country team competed in one of the oldest and prestigious cross country invitationals on one of the top cross country course in the country on Saturday.
Because of the set up of the meet the Adams runners were split into several different races.
Starting things off for the Eagles at the meet were the girls varsity who ran in the AAA (large school) division. Maddie Mischak was the first Adams finisher. Mischak finished in 53rd place in 21:05. Also running in the AAA race was Ivie Skube (111), Kate OBrien (117), Elese Anderson (151), Grace Dawson (166), Sydney Evans (172), and Claire Stowe (180). The girls varsity finished in 23rd place with 598 points.
The boys varsity ran next in the AAA race. Will McCarthy was the first finisher from Adams to cross the line, finishing in 147th place in 19:06. McCarthy was joined by Amar Beganovic (152nd), Brendan Quinn (164), George Ruscio Atkinson (178), Keion Taylor (194), Colby Szymczak (198) and Cole Evans (210). The team finished with 825 points in 31st place.
In the boys Freshman Sophomore Race, Will Nuebauer had the highlight of the day for the Eagles. Nuebauer finished in 7th place in his race in 17:40. Ngor Agwick (66), Alexander Macharaschwili (73), Jack Rancourt (87), Dylan Hockx (164), Josh Evans (169), and Dylan Whitlow (194) all raced in the Freshman Sophomore Race as well.
In the final race, the Girls Reserve Race, Hannah Connell led the team finishing in 185th place. She was joined in the race by Mary Claire Elliot (190), Kara Kison (226), Italia Ramos (334), Kasia Hochwald (238), Ruby Delgado (344), and Jacqueline Segunda (346).
