The girls soccer team came out fighting Thursday night as they traveled to take on the Falcons of John Glenn. With 9 shots on goal and 3 saves by the Eagle goal keepers, Adams was able to win after an overtime of penalty kick shots with a score of 3-2.
In the first half of the match Anna Borkowski scored the first goal of the game for the Eagles in the 23rd minute. Emilie Vereb added to that in the 34th minute with the assist coming from Elizabeth Mellor. The Eagles were kept scoreless in the second half and John Glenn answered with two goals of their own.
The game would be decided on penalty kicks, which Adams beat Glenn with 4 shots to 1. Anna Borkowski, Elizabeth Mellor, Solena Cruz, and Amanda Abner all scored for the Eagles.
Adams now has an overall record of 7-4 in 2018 and is 2-1 in the Northern Indiana Conference. Because Adams and Glenn are in separate division the game does not count towards either teams NIC record.
