Tuesday night did not go well for the girls basketball season as they hosted Elkhart Central High School in Northern Indiana Conference play. The Eagles trailed from the get go and were never able to find their groove when they faced off against the Blue Blazers. It was not until the fourth quarter when the Eagles began to score in double digits for the quarter, but by then it was too late. Adams ended up losing 22-75.
The leading scorer for Adams was Maria Besario, scoring 6 points for the Eagles. Besario was also 3 for 4 from the free throw line as well. Laila Williams and Shania Chatman both scored 4 points for the team and Chatman was 2 for 3 from the free throw line. Loryn Higginbotham scored 3, Whitney Marshall and Makiah McCain both scored 2 and Marissa Shelton scored 1 point.
After the tough loss the Eagles have only a few days to prepare for one of the other top teams in the NIC, Marian who they will play on Thursday night.
Adams falls to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in the Northern Indiana Conference.
