Boys Varsity Swimming · Boys Swimming Loses to New Prairie

On Thursday night the boys Swimming and Diving teams traveled to New Carlisle to take on the New Prairie Cougars in a Northern Indiana Conference match up. Despite the continued improvement amongst individuals and relays, the Eagles were unable to come away with the victory, falling to New Prairie 47 – 132.

Adams did not win any events but did finish as runner up in several individual events and in two relays.

Sam Burns finished second in both the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Butterfly. In the 200 IM Burns finished 2:18.01 and 1:02.01 in the 100 Butterfly. Mateo Rey was the runner up in the 50 Freestyle finishing in 24.28 and Jaylen Wright finished second in Diving with 91.85 points.

The 200 Freestyle Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay finished as runner ups as well in both events. In the 200 Relay, the team of Burns, Rey, Joseph Karban, and Kenneth Weston swam 1:39.66. The 400 Relay of Weston, Alexander Mills, Elijah Limon, and Jonathan Nerenberg finished in 4:09.18.

The Eagles are 1-3 both overall and in the NIC as a result of the meet.

The team will compete again on the road on Tuesday at Mishawaka High School.
