On Saturday the Adams Wrestling team competed in the Raider Super Duals hosted by Northridge High School. At the event the Eagles competed against SB St Joseph, Ft Wayne Snider, Warsaw, Concord, and NorthWood High Schools. Adams finished 1-4 against the competition.
The Eagles were forced to forfeit several weigh classes throughout the day, costing them in several of the match ups.
In their lone win Adams defeated St Joseph 34 – 24. Not including the forfeits, the Eagles had a win against St Joe with Joshua Zahl. Zahl would go on to finish 2-1 at Northridge.
Junior Jonathan Thomas led the Eagles with win for the day, finishing the duals 5-0, continuing his undefeated season. Thomas won easily in his three matches he wrestle and also two by forfeit.
The team lost to Snider 18 – 57, to Warsaw 10 – 66, to Concord 6 – 63, and to NorthWood 12 – 63.
The Adams individual records for the day were Henry Wroblewski (106) finished at 2-0, Joshua Zahl (138) 2-1, Jacob Harsh (145) 0-5, Dominique Clark (152) 1-1, Bakar Hassan (160) 0-3, Chykeem Crawford (170) 2-3, Ian Donihue (182) 1-2, Jonathan Thomas (220) 5-0, and Joe Phillips (Heavyweight) 2-3.
Adams record for the season so far stands at 4 wins and 13 losses.
The Eagles will compete again Thursday night when they continue Northern Indiana Conference action at Elkhart Central High School.
