As the season has progressed the girls swimming and diving team has continued to improve in their personal performances and in team and relay performances as well. On Tuesday night the team defeated the Mishawaka Cavemen on the road in Mishawaka with a score of 111-74.
The team took victories in 7 events and the depth of the team in most events helped the team to victory. Melany Morales Garibay won the first individual event of the evening for the Eagles, taking the victory in the 200 Individual Medley in 2:37.73, Eamin Lynch took first in the 100 Backstroke, winning in 1:10.55. Swimming in 1:25.27, Ivie Skube won the 100 Breaststroke.
In an impressive event for Adams, the Eagles finished 1-2-3 in the 50 Freestyle. Lyndsay Collins won the event, swimming a 28.97. Sade Williams finished in 30.98 and Cate Garber in third with 31.97.
A pair of Eagle divers also finished first and second in diving as well. Lindsay Gizzi has continued her impressive season, winning with a score of 251.10. Katherine Hensell finished as runner up with 215.50 points.
Adams won two of the three relays as well. In the 200 Freestyle Relay the Eagles finished first and second. The winning relay won in 1:59.24, consisting of Collins, Lynch, Williams, and Tania Gonzalez. The second place relay of Skube, Garber, Liora Wulfsohn, and Olivia Thompson swam 2:13.11. The Eagles won the final event of the night, the 400 Freestyle Relay in 4:21.25. The winning relay was swam by Morales-Garibay, Lynch, Collins, and Gonzalez.

Adams improves to a record of 8 wins and 5 losses overall and 5 and 3 in the Northern Indiana Conference. The team will compete again next Tuesday at home in a coed meet against South Bend Clay.
