It was a close matchup throughout the evening, but the Lady Eagles Swim Team came away with a win on Tuesday night over South Bend Clay, defeating the Colonials 97 – 88.
Adams won 5 events, but the depth of the Eagles helped them secure the victory.
The Adams divers have continued to impress as the season has gone on. Lindsay Gizzi, who has had a stellar season so far winning championships and setting records, won the diving events with 261.80 points. She was joined in the Adams 1-2-3 finish in the event by Katie Hensell (220.40) and Claire Butler (160.35).
Three different individuals won events for the Eagles as well. Lyndsay Collins was the winner of the 50 Yard Freestyle in 28.79. Ivie Skube won the 100 Fly with a time of 1:18.77. Eamin Lynch swam 1:11;33 to come away as the winner of the 100 Backstroke.
Lynch, Skube, and Collins were also members of the winning 200 Medley Relay as well. Melany Morales-Garibay was the fourth member of the relay which swam 2:16.64.

Adams improves to 9-5 overall and 6-3 in the Northern Indiana Conference.
With the winter break for school comes a winter break for the swimmers and divers as well. The team will not compete again until school resumes in January, hosting Penn in a coed meet on Tuesday January 8.
