The boys basketball team traveled to LaPorte on Friday night to complete in a non conference game. The Eagles kept the game competitive, but eventually fell to the Slicers 68 – 80.
The game was all tied up through the first quarter but throughout the second quarter the Slicers began to pull away, taking a 9 point lead at the half. Adams fought hard throughout the second half but were unable to cut the lead down, eventually falling to LaPorte by 12 points.
The leading scorer for Adams was Quentez Columbus, who had 20 points for the Eagles. Columbus had 2 3 point baskets and was 2 for 2 from the free throw line. Sydney Jefferies scored 18 points and Shak Johnson had 15 points. Ben Foster scored 8 points and Chuck Worsham finished with 7 points.
Adams is at .500 for the season at 4-4.
The Eagles will compete at the 2018 Wettig Holiday Tournament in Richmond, IN beginning on Thursday December 27. In the first game of the tournament the Eagles will play Connersville at 1:00 PM on December 27.
