Friday night was the first night back in action for the boys basketball team after the new year break. The Eagles resumed Northern Indiana Conference action after a playing in the Wettig Tournament the first week of winter break.
Adams traveled to the Palace to take on the 4A #14 ranked Kingsmen. The Eagles never quite fell too far behind throughout the first half, but were not able to get the advantage and take the lead, eventually falling to the Kingsmen 73 – 86.
Shak Johnson lead the team with 19 points. Ben Foster, Quentez Columbus, and Sydney Jefferies each had 15 points each. Foster scored three 3 point shots and was 2 for 2 from the free throw line. Columbus shot one 3 point shot and Jefferies had two 3 point buckets and was 3 for 4 from the line. Chuck Worsham scored 7 points and Lynn King scored 2 points.
Adams is 5-8 for the season and is now 3-2 in the NIC.
