Boys Varsity Basketball · Boys Basketball to Compete in Mishawaka Organ Donation Classic


This Saturday the JA boys basketball team will compete in the 2nd Annual Mishawaka Organ Donation Classic hosted at Mishawaka High School. This one day classic is the special project of Mishawaka boys coach Ron Hecklinski, who received a liver transplant 22 years ago and is now promoting the cause for individuals to sign up to be organ donors and the Indiana Donor Network. Coach Hecklinski will be speaking before games throughout the afternoon to promote the cause.

The Classic will feature 3 boys games and 1 girls game.

Mishawaka and SB Clay face of in the girls game at 2:00 PM.

The John Adams Eagles will play in the first boys game of the afternoon with a 4:00 PM tip. Adams will face off against Indianapolis Scecina. This will be the first ever meeting between the Eagles and the Crusaders.

Edwardsburg and Mishawaka Marian will play at 6:00 PM and Mishawaka and Lakeland will play at 8:00 PM.

Part of the proceeds and ticket sales from the events will be donated to the Indiana Donation Network. Make sure to come out on Saturday to support this great cause and to watch some great basketball.
