After week off due to frigid temperatures, the boys basketball team was back to play at home on Saturday afternoon as the weather thawed outside. The action was hot inside the gym as the Eagles took on Michigan City in non conference action. The Wolves started out hot, but the Eagles worked their way back into the game, playing impressive defense throughout the first half, shutting down much of the Michigan City offense. As a result of the defensive play, the Eagles and Wolves were tied at the half 25-25. During the second half, the Wolves were able to figure out how to get around the Eagles defense in the third quarter. Adams tried to bring it back late in the fourth quarter, but were unable to come away with the win. Adams lost to Michigan City 64-54.
The leading scorer for Adams was Sydney Jeffereis who had 18 points.Ben Foster added 12 more points for Adams. Chuck Worsham and Shak Johnson each scored 6 points, Quentez Columbus scored 4 points, Kryin McClatchey and TeVaughn Columbus scored 3 points each, and Lynn King scored 2 points.
Adams falls to a record of 7-10 with the loss. The Eagles play again on Tuesday when they host the SB St Joseph Indians in Northern Indiana Conference play.
