Girls Varsity Basketball · Girls Basketball Season Comes to End at IHSAA Sectional


The girls basketball season came to an end Friday night after a loss to South Bend St Joseph in the IHSAA Sectional. In an unfortunate turn for the Eagles, the Lady Indians dominated the game, beating the Eagles 77-18.

The leading scorer for the Eagles was Makiah McCain who led the way with 8 points. Marissa Shelton scored 5 points, Laila Williams scored 2 points and Loryn Higginbotham, Maria Besario, and Myah Allen al scored 1 point each.

Throughout each game this season, the Lady Eagles showed improvement and determination on a team the graduates no seniors this spring. The team looks forward to continued improvement over the off season and into next year.

The Lady Eagles end the 2018-2019 season with a record of 5 wins and 17 losses.
