The boys basketball team hosted SB St Joseph High School on Tuesday night in Northern Indiana Conference action.
The Indians were able to get off to a quick start on the Eagles, leading 39-14 at halftime. That’s when the Eagles began to mount a comeback, trying to avoid the blow out. Adams was able to outscore St Joe throughout the second half, but it was not enough at the end as St Joe won over Adams 79-71.
The Eagles’ leading scorer was Sydney Jefferies. Jefferies shot 8 for 10 from the free throw line and ended the night with 22 points. Not far behind him was Shak Johnson who scored 21 points. Ben Foster scored 13 points, Quentez Columbus scored 9 points, and Chuck Worsham and Lynn King scored 3 points.
Adams will play again on Thursday evening when they travel to play John Glenn in a game that was originally scheduled for January 1.
