After a slow start on Tuesday night, the Boys basketball team was eager to get back in action on Thursday night on the road at John Glenn High School. The Eagles were able to shut down the Falcons in the second quarter, holding John Glenn to just 3 points. Throughout the second half of the game, the Eagles defense was able to hold off any advance that John Glenn tried to mount, and was able to come out of Walkerton with the 60-44 win in the Northern Indiana Conference game.
Ben Foster was the leading scorer for Adams, scoring 15 points. Of those 15 points, 9 came from the three 3 point baskets Foster made. Shak Johnson scored 12 points and was 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Quentez Columbus also ended the night wit h12 points as well. Sydney Jefferies scored 9 points, Lynn King scored 6 points, Chuck Worsham scored 4, and TeVaughn Columbus had 2 points.
John Adams plays again on Friday night in Northern Indiana Conference action at Mishawaka High School.
The Eagles record for the year is now 8-11 and the team is 6-3 in the NIC.
