The Boys Track and Field team was back in action on Saturday down at Indiana Wesleyan University, looking to improve times and performances as they try and qualify for the Hoosier State Relay Finals in two weeks at Indiana University.
The Hoosier State Relays will feature to top 24 individuals and relays on the track, shot put, and long jump and top 18 in high jump and pole vault in the large school division.
In the first event of the morning, Will Neubauer took time off of his performance last week in the 3200 Run, finishing in 10:27.93.
Maceo Horton ran 9.49 in the 60 Meter Hurdles. In the 60 Dash, David Smith ran 7.52, Tre Grey ran 7.55, and Tommy Douglas ran 7.72.
Three Eagles relays competed in the meet. The 4×200 of Jaylen Wright, Grey, Douglas, and Smith finished in 1:37.62. Running a time of 12:11.64, Amor Beganovic, Dominique Clark, Alex Blade, and Neubauer ran the Distance Medley Relay (1200-400-800-1600). In the final event of the day, the 4×400 relay of Wright, Smith, Shannon Clark, and Ngor Agwick ran 3:41.46
In the field events, Tommy Han improved in the pole vault, jumping a height of 12’0” Christian Imes threw 29’11.5” in the shot put and Jacen Heilman threw 26’1.25”. In the long jump Tommy Douglas leapt 15’1.5” and in the high jump Vamoni Stubbs cleared 5’8”
Today’s meet was once again an unscored meet as individuals and relays try to qualify for the finals in two weeks.
