Girls Varsity Track · Girls Track and Field Beats New Prairie, Loses to Penn


The Adams girls Track & Field team continued Northern Indiana Conference action on Tuesday night, competing at New Prairie in a triangular meet with the Cougars and Penn Lady Kingsmen, The Lady Eagles  would finish in second amongst the three teams with 49 points.

Adams only had one winner at the meet, Alecia Parker in Shot Put . Parker had an impressive night in the throws, winning with a toss of 39’1” Parker was also the runner up in Discus with a throw of 105’5”

Two relays and 4 individuals had runner up finishes as well. The 4×100 relay of Shania Chatman, Shanell Exum, Ali Mihut, and Kierra Watford finished in 55.0. Mihut would also run a leg on the second place 4×400 relay as well. Mihut, Devyn Moore, Jordan Mihut, and Brianna Woods ran 4:24.7. Woods was the runner up in two events, the 400 Dash and 200 Dash. Exum finished in second in the 300 Hurdles. Shania Chatman had a jump of 13’1” in Long Jump, good for her second place finish.

The Lady Eagles are 4-2 in NIC meets this year and have a record of 11-5 for the season.

Adams has a week off until they compete on the road at SB Riley taking on Riley and SB Clay on Tuesday April 30.
