Boys Varsity Baseball · Baseball Loses on Road at Penn

After a week of rainouts and rescheduling, the Adams Baseball team was able to play on Friday night, traveling to take on Penn High School in a Northern Indiana Conference game. The Eagles unfortunately would fall to the Kingsmen 1-4.

Adams would score first in the game in the top of the 1st inning to take the very early lead. Both Jacaar Watkins and Josh Allen were on base for the Eagles when Ben Thompson stepped up to the plate. After a passed ball from Penn, Watkins would go on to score for Adams. Unfortunately it was not enough for the Eagles to take the win.

Bryce Martens was the losing pitcher in the game. In 5 innings Martens allowed 3 runs off of 5 hits while striking out 6 batters. Martens did the lead the team however at the plate in offense, having two hits in three at bats.

With the loss Adams is 5-3 in the NIC and 7-6 overall for the season.
