The Adams Baseball team traveled north to Stevensville on Thursday night to take on Lakeshore High School.
Adams was able to get on the scoreboard first early in the first inning. Jacaar Watkins would score the first run for Adams, scoring a run off of an error from Lakeshore.
The Eagles would have to play from behind the rest of the game however. In the fourth Adams brought the game closer as the team had bases loaded. They were only able to bring in one run from it through, with Tre Fonseca scoring for Adams,
As the game entered the bottom on the seventh, Adams attempted a rally as they were down four. Adams had two runners on, Zach Grey and Ben Thompson. Brock Notestine reached base on an error from the Lancers, allowing Grey to score. Fonseca would hit a double, brining in Thompson to score. It was not enough though for Adams as the team had two more outs, ending the game with the 4-6 loss.
Tre Fonseca was the losing pitcher for Adams, having to come in as the reliever early in the game. Fonseca allowed one run off of four hits and struck out one.
Adams will host Jimtown HS on Friday night at TCU School Field in Northern Indiana Conference play.
