The Adams Softball team hit the road on Friday night to take on Ft Wayne Carroll in a game that was rained out earlier in the season. Adams would claw back to tie the game in the final innings, but would eventually fall in a walk off 3-4.
In the first inning Adams would take and hold the early lead. In her first at bat of the game, Regan Sheipline hit a double, and she would go to score the first run of the game off of a single from Lexi Davis.
In the second inning, after being hit by a pith, Kacey Browning would advance and later score on a sacrifice fly from Sadie Sheipline.
Carroll went on to take the lead over the Lady Eagles, but Adams was not about to give up. Sadie Sheipline would hit a line drive double in the first at bat of the inning to get things going for Adams. Sheipline would advance to third on a wild pitch and then would score in the next at bat, tying the game up. Carroll would unfortunately score the winning run in a walk off to seal the game in the bottom of the seventh.
Hallie Charmat was the losing pitcher for Adams, allowing four runs off of eight hits and striking out two batter.
