Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Loses in Final Non-conference Game

The Adams Softball team traveled to LaPorte on Monday afternoon to take on the Slicers for the second time this season in the team’s final non conference game of the 2019 season.

While the Lady Eagles got on the board first, they  were unable to fend of the Slicers, falling 2 – 12.

The first run for Adams came in the second inning when Lexis Lawton stole for home, taking the early lead.

In the fourth inning, Sydnee Meredith hit a solo home run on a line drive out to center field.

Unfortunately for Adams, LaPorte had big third and fourth innings, putting the game away.

Mary Landis was the losing pitcher for Adams, pitching 3 innings  allowing 5 runs off of 6 hits and Landis struck out 4 batters.

Adams has one more regular season game on Wednesday as they close out the Northern Indiana Conference at SB Clay.
