Despite attempts from Mother Nature on Thursday, the Adams Boys Track & Field team competed in the IHSAA Sectional Meet at Penn High School.
As a team, the Eagles finished in 6th place with 31.5 points.
The top three in each event and those that make the State Standard automatically advance to the Kokomo Regional next Thursday.
The only automatic qualifier the Eagles had on Thursday was the 4×400 Relay, running their best time all season, 3:25.39. Jaylen Wright, Teo Reimbold Thomas, David Smith, and Tre Gray will advance to represent the Eagles.
The Eagles also had several scorers in many events, but not advancing. In the 800 Run Alex Marcharaschwili finished in 4th place in 2:04.53. Amar Beganovic finished in 8th in 2:07.13. Will Neubauer finished in 4th place in the 3200 Run with a time of 10:06.28.
In the 110 Hurdles, Maceo Horton placed 5th in 16.43. Teo Reimbold Thomas finished 8th in the 300 Hurdles, running 44.17.
In the field Alex Harman placed 6th in Discus with a throw of 133’6.” Cesar Cervera threw 124’6”, good for 8th place.
Vamoni Stubbs finished tied for 8th in High Jump with a leap of 5’8” and Dominique Clark finished in 6th place in Pole Vault with a height of 11’0”
