Boys Varsity Soccer · Cristian Mihut Named Head Boys Soccer Coach

The John Adams Athletics Department is proud to announce the hiring of Cristian Mihut as the new Boys Soccer Head Coach for the upcoming 2019 season.

Coach Mihut will take over a program that has plenty of potential and has many returning players looking to improve upon the work throughout the off season.

Mihut was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania and is married with four children. Ali and Hannah graduated from John Adams this spring and were star soccer players themselves. Both Jordan and Ethan are current students at John Adams and play soccer as well.

Coach Mihut grew up playing on the gravel fields of Romania which took him to play collegiately at Bethel College where he was a four year varsity player.

Throughout the year “soccer has been an integral part” of Mihut’s life.

Coach Mihut still plays in various indoor and outdoor leagues throughout the city.

Mihut has coached at various levels over the past 14 years including Michiana Soccer Association, Michiana Echo, LaSalle Academy and most recently served as the head girls soccer coach at Trinity School.

Coach Mihut is a fan of the traditional Dutch method of total football and follows Ajax Amsterdam and Manchester City religiously.

Welcome to the John Adams Eagles family Coach Cristian Mihut!
