Traveling to Elkhart on Wednesday afternoon, the Adams Boys Tennis team came to compete against the Chargers of Elkhart Memorial. It was a great night for the team, as the Eagles walked away with the 5-0 win, sweeping Memorial.
The Adams single players had an impressive night, with each sweeping their opponents in two sets apiece, all with a score of 6-0. Ben Guerro, Marty Stoner, and Michael Dunham all walked away with the early season win.
At doubles, Peter Nagy & Vian Mariani won in two sets with a score of 6-3, 6-1. Michael Mazurek & Jacob Lutz won in two sets as well 6-0, 6-1.
The junior varsity also won with a score of 5-0 as well. Forrest Wallace, Teo Reimbold Thoas, and Drew Piechocki all won at singles and Johan Gezelter & Duncan Thompson and Owen Koehler & Casey Zielke won at doubles.
The Eagles begin the season with a record of 1-0.
Adams will play again on Thursday at home when they host the LaVille Lancers.
