The Adams Girls Soccer team was back at home on Thursday night, taking on yet another non conference opponent. The Lady Eagles hosted Plymouth High School.
While the final score does not reflect it, Adams outperformed Plymouth, outshooting Plymouth 29-11. It was just a few small miscues however that led to the Eagles 1-2 loss.
The Eagles offense was able to get 29 shots on goal and put the pressure on the Plymouth defense. It was only Carla Hernandez in the 57th minute to score for the Eagles though. Hernandez’s goal tied the game up at 1-1, but Plymouth answered back just a few minutes later to take the lead back.
Adams Goalkeeper Makiah McCain had 10 saves, keeping the Eagles in the game.
Adams now falls to 1-2-2 for the season.
The Eagles will play on the road on Saturday morning when they travel to Valparaiso to take on the Lady Vikings.
