The Adams Boys Cross Country team could not ask for perfect weather for a meet on the last weekend in August then what they got on Saturday competing at the Penn Invitational.
The Eagles ran in a meet with some of the best teams in the northern part of the state and fared well.
As a team, Adams finished in 8th place overall with a score of 223. The Eagles, who have shown much improvement over the summer and looking to build on that for success later on in the season ran well amongst some of the best of the best.
Adams was led by Will Neubauer, who finished 13th overall, crossing the line in 16:54.
Sami Mirza was not far behind Neubauer, entering the chute in 17:11, good for 19th place.
They were joined by teammates Ngor Agwick (18:00), Alex Macaraschwili (18:05), Colby Symzcack (18:59), Jack Rancourt (19:25), and Brendan Quinn (19:38).
In the Junior Varsity race later in the morning, the Eagles finished in 12th place with a score of 368. The top finisher for Adams in that race was George Ruscio Atkinson who ran 20:43 and finished in 95th place out of 239 runners.

Adams runs again on Thursday night in the South Bend City Meet at Erskine Park Golf Course.
