The Adams Boys Cross Country team looked for redemption on Saturday at the Caston Invitational. The Eagles, coming off a third place finish at the City Meet on Thursday wanted to perform well and set some personal bests.
The hunger for success paid off for the Eagles, as the team ran their way to victory, winning the championship with team score of 44.
Will Neubauer also continued to run well, winning this second championship in three days. Neubauer took the lead early in the race, and holding off a fe late challengers, crossed the line to win in 16:40, and new personal best.
Sami Mirza finished in fourth with a time of 17:15, running an impressive race himself.
Also running for Adams and looking to improve from the days before was Ngor Agwick (18:01), Alex Macharaschwili (18:15), Colby Szymczak (18:48), Jackson Rancourt (18:52), and Dylan Hockx (19:54).
The pack of Eagles runner and the impressive run of the top two runners helped the team win the title.
The Junior Varsity team also won the team championship as well. The Adams JV runners won with a score of 25. Brendan Quinn, Grayson Wilson, George Ruscio Atkinson, Sam Mischak, and Josh Evans all finished in the top 10 of the race.
Adams will race again next Saturday in the Elkhart – St Joseph County Clash at Oxbow Park.
