Saturday turned out to be the perfect day for the Adams Girls Soccer team. The weather was sunny and clear and play was near perfect on the pitch for the Eagles as they hosted Elkhart Memorial at Tallman Beyrer Field.
Adams would finish the day with the victory for Adams, winning 6-0 over the Chargers.
It was Jordan Mihut who struck first for Adams. Not waiting long to show her skills, Mihut scored in the second minute of action. Carla Hernandez had the assist.
The Eagles continued to strike throughout the rest of the first half.
Hernandez came back and scored a goal of her own in the 13th minute off of the assist from Anna Borkowski.
Nyah Smith had two goals for the Eagles before the half. Smith scored in the 26th minute unassisted and then in the final minute of the half with an assist from Veronica Karban.
After the half, Adams would score two more times. Borkowski scored in the 46th minute with the help of Hernandez. Hernandez scored again in the 52nd minute. Her goal would be the final goal in the game.
The Adams offense had a total of 17 shots on goal. Makiah McCain had 2 big saves for Adams in the goal box.
The Eagles are now 3-3-2 for the season and are 1-0 in Northern Indiana Conference play.
Adams plays Wednesday at home taking on Elkhart Central HS.
