On Thursday, the Boys Tennis team was not only trying to beat the Mishawaka Cavemen in Northern Indiana Conference action, but was also trying to beat the rain that was looming in the area.
The Eagles were able to beat Mishawaka, but they were unable to beat the rin. Adams won 4-0 over the Cavemen, with the Number one Doubles match getting rained out during play.
In singles action, Ben Guererro won in two sets 6-2, 6-0. Marty Stoner won 6-0, 6-0 at Number Two Singles as did Michael Dunham at Number Three Singles. Number Two Doubles Jonathan Zapf and Michael Mazurek won 6-0, 6-1. Vian Mariani and Peter Nagy were unable to get their match complete due to the rain.
The Eagles improve to 7-2 overall and 5-2 against NIC opponents.
The Junior Varsity team was able to get some of their matches in as well as they cruised to the 4-0 victory.
Doubles teams of Duncan Thompson/ Forest Wallace, Jonah Gezelter / Sam Trozel, Teo Reimbold Thomas/ Auggie Perugini, and Nick Cox / Drew Piechocki all won their matches.
