Boys Varsity Cross Country, Coed Varsity Cross Country · Boys Cross Country Runs in County Clash

The race was on Saturday morning at Oxbow Park. This race was unique though, not just teams competing against each other for the title, but two neighboring counties racing to be the best and for bragging rights.

The Boys Cross Country team joined that race, running in the final edition of the St Joseph / Elkhart County Clash.

In the team race, the Eagles finished in 9th place overall with a team score of 197.

Two Adams individuals were recognized for their accomplishments finishing in the top 15 in the very competitive race. Will Neubauer finished the race in 16:52 which was good for him to finish in 7th place. Not far behind was Sami Mirza who finished 12th overall. Mirza ran a time of 17:06.

Also running for Adams in the race was Ngor Agwick (17:58), Alex Macharswili (18:22). Colby Szymczak (18:49), Brendan Quinn (19:10) and Jack Rancourt ( 19:14).

In the County versus County race, the top 9 runners from each county factored in to the final score. Elkhart County just edged out St Joseph County with a score of 55 – 50

For the Adams Junior Varsity team, Dylan Hockx was the top finisher for the Eagles in the race. Hockx finished 53rd in race with a time of 19:54. As a team the Eagles finished in 9th place with a score of 252.

The Eagles will compete next week in the New Prairie Invitational, one of the largest high school sporting events in the entire nation.
