Boys Junior Varsity Tennis, Boys Varsity Tennis · Boys Tennis Battles With Penn


The Eagles Boys Tennis team traveled to Penn on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Kingsmen in a Northern Indiana Conference matchup.

Adams fought hard against Penn and not making it easy on the Kingsmen. Adams lost however with a score of 2-3.

Both Marty Stoner and Michael Dunham won matches for Adams. Stone, at Number 2 Singles, won in two sets 6-1, 6-2. Dunham, playing Number 3 Singles won 6-2, 6-0.

Number 1 Singles player Ben Guererro played hard in his match, ultimately falling in two sets 6-3, 6-4, not going down without a fight.

Peter Nagy and Vian Mariani lost at Number 1 Doubles 6-0, 6-0 and Jonathan Zapf and Jacob Lutz lost playing Number 2 Doubles 6-2, 6-2.

Adams has an overall record of 7-3 and 5-3 in the NIC.

The Junior Varsity team also lost with a score of 2-12. Michael Mazurek won a singles match for Adams and Forest Wallace and Duncan Thompson won a doubles match.

The Eagles will compete again on Thursday on the road at Jimtown High School.
