Multiple Teams · Volleyball Suffers Loss at Elkhart Central


The Adams Volleyball team faced a tough Elkhart Central squad on the road on Tuesday night. The Eagles fought hard in the Northern Indiana Conference match, but ultimately lost to the Blue Blazers 0-3.

Adams lost the first set 16-.25 but worked their way back into the match in the second set. Making the necessary adjustments to stay competitive, Adams worked their way back before falling 21-25. In the third and final sets Adams also lost 20-25.

Sophia Salas finished the night with 19 digs against the Blue Blazers. Sydney Lewandowski added 11 more and Aubrey Richardson had 10 additional digs. SeSe Scheffler had 3 solo blocks against Elkhart Central and 2 more assisted blocks.

Adams falls to a record of 7-12 for the season and 0-6 in the NIC.

The Junior Varsity team took it to three sets in their match up earlier in the night. Adams lost in 3 sets 25-16, 10-25, 13-15.

The Freshman team were just narrowly beaten in two sets, losing 24-25, 24-25.

Adams will play again on Thursday at home against Mishawaka Marian.
