Boys Tennis traveled to Jimtown High School on Thursday afternoon for a match up in the Northern Indiana Conference.
Both the Jimmies and Eagles were ready to play, with some very close final scores in most of the matches. It was Adams however that came out victorious, coming home with the 4-1 victory.
In the Number 1 singles match, Ben Guerrero battled it out, going back and forth in his match, winning in two sets 6-4, 6-4. Marty Stoner won his match in two sets as well 6-3, 6-2. Michael Dunahm survived a close one, winning 6-3, 7-6.
Number 1 Doubles team Peter Nagy and Vian Mariani took it to three sets in order to win. Nagy and Mariani won 7-6 in the first set, lost 3-6 in the second and worked their way back 7-5 in the final set.
Jonathan Zapf and Jacob Lutz lost 6-7, 2-6 playing at Number 2 Doubles.
Adams improves to 8-3 overall and 6-3 in the NIC.
The Junior Varsity team lost to Jimtown 3-7.
Casey Zielke won a singles match and Jakob Esch / Teo Reinbold Thomas and Auggie Perogini/Owen Koehller won playing doubles.
The Eagles will compete again this weekend at the LaPorte Invitational.
