The Adams Girls Soccer team came out hot on Saturday morning when they traveled to take on in town rival SB Riley at Jackson Field in a Northern Indiana Conference matchup. The Adams defense was so good against the Wildcats that Riley had no shots on goal the entire game, while the Adams offense had 36 shots on goal.
The Eagles did not wait long to find the back of the net. Anna Rosato scored the first goal within the first minute. Carla Hernandez had the assist. Just under a minute later, Rosato scored again, this time with the assist coming from Anna Borkowski. Borkowski scored her own unassisted goal just a few minutes later in the 5th minute. Jordan Mihut had a nice pass to Emilie Vereb in the 12th minute, allowing Vereb to score the fourth Adams goal.
The Eagles did get two more goals in the final two minutes of the first half. Leia Lawill scored in the 38th minute and Alayna Wilson in the 39th minute.
Adams cruised to victory in the second half, winning 6-0.
The Lady Eagles are 2-1 in the NIC North and 6-4-2 overall for the season. Adams will play again Wednesday in a key NIC North match at SB St Joseph.
