Saturday morning was full of excitement at TCU School Field for the Boys Soccer team.
Prior to the beginning of the game between the Eagles and Mishawaka, the team celebrated the long and rich history of the Adams Soccer program and recognized Hall of Fame Coach Jim Tallman. Tallman was coach when the Eagles finished as the State Runner Ups in 1994.
The excitement did not end with the celebration however. The Eagles cruised to victory over Mishawaka, winning 6-0.
In the first half, Connor McKenna got the Eagles off to a great start, scoring two goals before the intermission. The team was not satisfied with just the two point lead. Arturo Ortiz and Enzo Gizzi each had one goal in the second half of play and Micah Fourman added two more to the Eagles sweep.
Gizzi also had 2 assists as well. Ethan Mihut had 2 assists and Zaid Delgado had one.
The Adams offense had an impressive 22 shots on the Cavemen goal throughout the morning and outshot Mishawaka 38-10.
The Junior Varsity also won over Mishawaka defeating the Cavemen 7-0.
The game ends to regular season for Adams. The Eagles will open up Sectional play on Wednesday night at TCU School Field against LaPorte.
