It was the end of the regular season for the Adams Football team on October 18. The Eagles hosted SB St Joseph in the final game before the IHSAA tournament began. Both teams were also looking for their first win of the season as well.
The Eagles came out hot, scoring within the first minute of action in the game and taking only two plays to do so. Ira Armstead scored on a 58 yard run as he broke through the middle of the St Joseph defense as Adams took the 6-0 lead.
Adams would score again late in the first quarter. Adams drove down the field and just outside of the red zone, Armstead found receiver Sydney Jefferies in the endzone. The pass was bobbled around between Jefferies and the defender but was eventually caught, allowing Adams to regain the lead.
Adams struggled offensively throughout the second half. While there were positive gains, the drives were unable to advance and add points on the scoreboard.
The Eagles eventually fell to SB St Joseph with a score of 42-12
