Girls Junior Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball · Girls Basketball Loses First Road Game of Year

For the first time this season, the Girls Basketball team hit the road. On Saturday night the Lady Eagles took on the Concord Minutemen in non conference play. Coming off of a big win earlier in the week in the home opener, Adams looked to build on that momentum at Concord.

Adams had two impressive performances from two of its starters. Laila Williams was the leading scorer for Adams, ending the night with 12 points against the Minutemen. Marissa Shelton had 11 points, with 9 of those coming from the three three point shots she made in the tough road environment.

This effort, however, was not enough for the Lady Eagles as they fell just short of the win with a score of 37-46. Loryn Higginbotham had 8 points and also went 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Whitney Marshal, Maria Besario, and Makiah McCain each had 2 points each.

Adams begins the season 1-1 with both of those games being non conference action.

The Junior Varsity team also lost with a score of 44-17.

Adams will play again on Friday night when they open up Northern Indiana Conference play against John Glenn.
