On Friday night the Girls Basketball team took the short trip down the road to take on SB St Joseph.
The Lady Eagles struggled to get started in the first half, only scoring four points in the opening quarter and were never able to recover from the deficit, eventually losing to the Lady Indians 32-49.
Seven Adams players were able to contribute to the offensive attack of the Eagles. Laila Williams was the leading scorer for the team, finishing the night with 10 points. Williams was also 2 for 4 from the free throw line.
Marissa Shelton scored 7 points for Adams. Shelton hit two three point buckets and was 1 for 2 from the charity stripe. Loryn Higginbotham 5 points, McKenna Leichty had 4 points, and Valiyah Grundy, Daquejhia Vaughn, and Whitney Marshall all had 2 points each.
With the loss Adams falls to 1-3 for the season and 0-2 in the Northern Indiana Conference. The Lady Eagles will play at home on Tuesday night when they host Mishawaka HS.
