The John Adams Girls Swimming and Diving team was back to their winning ways on Tuesday night, bouncing back after a tough loss before Thanksgiving. The Lady Eagles traveled to Bremen and were able to come back to South Bend with a 122-62 victory over the Lady Lions.

Adams won 10 events in the pool and in the two that they did not win they finished an extremely close second place.

The night started off on a positive note for Adams, finishing first and second place in the opening event, the 200 Medley Relay. Sofia Frazee, Ivie Skube, Cecilia Frazee and Lindsay Collins beat the second place Bremen team by 2 seconds to win in 2:10.91. Melany Morales Garibay, Cate Garber, Skye Peck, and Yvette Burton were the third place relay with had a time of 2:20.40.

Lyza Kircheff and Olivia Thompson finished first and second in the 200 Freestyle. Kircheff’s winning time was 2:16.61 and Thompson’s runner up finish was 2:25.36.

Addison Skube was the winner of the 50 Freestyle. Skube won the quick and exciting event in 28.18. Anna Tarner finished in third not far behind in 29.45.

The 100 Butterfly was won by Eamin Lynch, winning by over 5 second with a time of 1:15.96. Peck finished in third in 1:22.63 and Burton swam 1:26.24 which was good for fourth place.

Lynch was also a member of the winning 200 Freestyle Relay, which swam a team time of 1:54.22. Lynch was joined by teammates Collins, Kircheff, and Sade Williams.

Lynch narrowly missed out on winning a third event by just over a second. She finished as runner up in the 200 Individual Medley, swimming a time of 2:30.96. Elisa Nerenberg was third in 2:37.63, and Tarner fourth in 2:44.54.

The Adams divers continued to roll through the season with success. Lindsay Gizzi scored and impressive 267.90 to take first place. Katie Hensell finished in second with 220.85, and Avery Curtis in third with a core of 147.00.

Sofia Frazee swam 59.91 which was good for second place in the 100 Freestyle. Tania Gonzalez was fourth in 1:05.40 and Liora Wulfson was fifth in 1:17.17.

The Eagles finished first and second in the grueling 500 Freestyle. Morales Garibay was the winner with a time of 6:29.99. Cecilia Frazee finished next in 6:38.81.

Nerenberg and Wulfsohn also finished first and second in the 100 Backstroke. Nerenberg’s winning time was 1:08.50 and Wulfsohn’s time was 1:33.79.

Ivie Skube took first in the 100 Breaststroke. Skube took the win in a time of 1:25.71 in a close race. Garber finished in 4th place and Izzy Frank in fifth.

To finish up the night Adams finished first and third in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Morales Garibay, Kircheff, Burton, and C Frazee were all members of the winning team which swam a time of 4:15.51. Lynch, Gonzalez, A Skube, and Nerenberg finished third in 4:18.78, just missing second by 0.7 seconds.

Fiver personal bests were also set including Lynch in the Individual Medley, A Skube in the 50 Freestyle, S Frazee in the 100 Free, Nerenerg in the 100 Backstroke, and Curtis in Diving.

Adams improves to a record of 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the NIC. The Eagles return home on Thursday night in CoEd meet versus SB St Joseph.
