The Adams Girls Swimming and Diving team returned to swim at home on Thursday night, taking on in town rival SB St Joseph in Northern Indiana Conference action. The night would prove to be not so friendly to the Lady Eagles, as the team lost to St Joseph 132-53.
Adams only won one event in the meet. In diving, Adams finished first, second, and third. Lindsay Gizzi was the winner of the event, winning with a score of 241.25. Katie Hensell finished in second with 189.70, and Logan Kosik scored 138.80 to take third.
Sofia Frazee finished as the runner up in the 100 Breaststroke, finishing just a second behind the winner in what might have been the most exciting event of the evening and its closest finish. Frazee swam a time of 1:10.73.
Eamin Lynch finished third in the 200 Individual Medley; Lindsay Collins and Addison Skube finished third and fourth in the 50 Freestyle; Lyza Kircheff finished third in the 100 Fly, Lynch and Cecilia Frazee third and fourth in the 100 Backstroke.
All three Adams relays finished in third place as well in each event. The third place finishing relay in the 200 Medley Relay was made up of Lynch, Kircheff, S Frazee, and Collins. Skube, Collins, S Frazee, and Yvetter Burton finished third in the 200 Free Relay. Finally in the 400 Free Relay to wrap up the night, C Frazee, Melany Morales Garibay, Tania Gonzalez, and Anna Arner finished in third.
Adams stays above 500 with a 3-2 record overall for the year and are 2-2 in the NIC. Adams will swim again at home on Tuesday when they host Mishawaka Marian.
