The Girls Basketball team played its second home game in three days and third game of the week on a busy stretch for the Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles hosted non conference opponent Goshen.
The two teams were pretty evenly matched throughout the first half of play. As Adams and Goshen returned to play from the half, Adams cut into the Redhawk lead to bring the game within just three points. For several minutes in the third, the two teams battled it out to see who would come out as the victor. Unfortunately for Adams, it was Goshen who was able to pull away from Adams during the third and increase that lead in the fourth quarter. Adams would eventually fall to Goshen with a score of 38-52.
Loryn Higginbotham was the leading scorer, leading the team with 18 points. Higginbotham also shot 60% from the free throw line.
Marissa Shelton scored 9 points and Myah Allen scored 7 points. Both Allen and Shelton shot 3 for 4 from the free throw line. Laila Williams added the remaining 4 points for Adams.
Adams will have some time to recover before they play again on Friday night at Jimtown.
