Girls Varsity Swimming · Girls Swimming and Diving Near Perfect Against New Prairie


The Girls Swimming and Diving team won its second meet of the week on Thursday night, this time hosting Northern Indiana Conference opponent New Prairie. For Adams, it was complete domination, winning all 12 individual events on their way to a 132-54 win over New Prairie.

The Eagles got things rolling right away taking first and second in the 200 Medley Relay. Eamin Lynch, Sofia Frazee, Lyza Kircheff and Lyndsay Collins took the win in 2:02.00. Cecilia Frazee, Skye Peck, Elizabeth Tarner and Yvette Burton finished in second place.

The Lady Eagles took first, second, and third place in the next event the 200 Freestyle.Melany Morales Garibay was the winner, swimming a time of 2:20.26. Tania Gonzalez was second and C Frazee was in third..

Lynch was the winner of the 200 Individual Medley, winning in a time of 2:31.00.E Tarner placed third and Sade Williams fourth..

The 50 Freestyle was another 1-2-3 finish for Adams as well. S Frazee was the winner in 27.47 and following close behind in the fast race was Collins in second and Burton in third.

Lindsay Gizzi continued her impressive season, once again winning Diving, this time with a score of 258.95. Katie Hensell scored 221.05 which was good for third place.

Kircheff took first in the 100 Butterfly, swimming to victory in 1:05.38. Morales Garibay finished in third and Peck took fourth place. 

The 100 Freestyle was yet another 1-2-3 finish for the Lady Eagles. Burton finished first in 1:03.59. Gonzalez was the runner up and Tarner was third.

C Frazee came back later in the meet to take first in the 500 Freestyle. She won by nearly 20 seconds in 6:40.07. Izzy Camilleri finished in fourth place.

C Farzze, S Frazee, Burton and Collins teamed up to take first in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The Eagles team won in 1:52.48. They were followed by another team from Adams to take second made up of A Tarner, Elizabeth Tarner, Morales Garibay and Gonzalez.

Kircheff and Lynch had and impressive battle in the 100 Backstroke near the end of the meet. Krichtff won in 1:05.66 and Lynch just behind in 1:09.16.

In the final individual event of the evening S Frazee took the win in the 100 Breaststroke in 1:12.28. E Tarner took second place.

To end the meet, Adams on the 400 Free Relay. Collins, Kricheff, Morales Garibay and Lynch won with a time of 4:16.65.
