Coming off of a huge rivalry win on Tuesday night, the Boys Basketball team played in their second of three games scheduled in four days. This time Adams took to the road to play a Northern Indiana Conference game at Jimtown HS.
After an exciting game on Tuesday, it took some time for Adams to find its groove against the Jimmies. Adams only scored 9 points in the opening quarter before hitting the accelerator in the second, scoring 17 points to take the lead prior to halftime. Adams held the lead at the end of the third quarter, but foul trouble for the Eagles allowed the Jimmies to stay in the game as the teams began the final quarter. The Eagles however would not let Jimtown take control of the game and even though they were outscored 22-20 in the final 8 minutes of play, Adams took the road win with a score of 62-55. The perseverance of Adams in the game allowed the team to remain undefeated for the season at 6-0.
Six Adams players scored in the game. Braydon Saxton led the way for the Eagles, ending the night with 19 points.
Lynn King had a big night as well, finishing with 16 points. King hit the lone three point shot for the team.
Quentez Columbus scored 12 points, Chuck Worsham had 7 points, Sydney Jefferies scored 6 points, and TeVaughn Columbus had 2 points.
Adams remains undefeated for the season at 6-0 and are 3-0 in the NIC. The Eagles sit atop the conference in first place in the NIC race.
