After an impressive win for the Boys Basketball team on Friday evening in the opening round of the Phil Cox Memorial Tournament hosted by Kokomo HS over Franklin Central, the Eagles were back in action on Saturday afternoon in the semi finals, this time taking on host Kokomo HS.
The momentum was all in favor of Adams as they showed off their talent and why the team remained undefeated so far this season. The Eagles were able to overpower the Wildkats and pulled away to the 57-40 victory.
For the second game in a row and just as he had many times the week before, Brayden Saxton led the way for the Eagles, scoring 18 points. Saxton was also 2 for 4 from the free throw line.
Sydney Jefferies had 13 points after hitting 1 three point shot and going 2 for 4 from the free throw line. Lynn King had 10 points. King also hit 2 three point shots and was 2 for 4 from the line on free throws as well.
Kyrin McClatchey also hit 2 three point shots and scored 8 points in the game. Quentez Columbus scored 4 points, Matt Anella scored 3 points, and Chuck Worsham scored 1 point.
With the win, Adams advances to the Championship game to take on Jeffersonville.
