The Wrestling team was back in action on Wednesday night, taking on cross town rival SB Riley in Northern Indiana Conference action. The Eagles had to surrender six forfeits to the Wildcats, putting Adams down 36 points. That deficit was too much for the team to overcome and the final score of the match fell in favor of SB Riley with a final score of 57-21.
Adams won four individual matches through the night.
Horace Hill started the night off in the opening match with a 3-1 decision to put the Eagles up 3-0 at the start. Hill was wrestling at 220 pounds. Early in the start of the second match, Joe Phillips wrestling at 285 pounds, was able to win off of a pin, extending the lead for Adams to 9-0. Jacob Harsch at 132 pounds also won on a Riley forfeit. The final win for Adams in the night came from Melvin Torres wrestling at 152 pounds. It took Torres all the way until the third period to get the win but finally did with the pin.
Adams will compete again on Tuesday January 14 at home when they host Elkhart Central
