Boys Varsity Basketball · Boys Basketball Remains Perfect at Home

After nearly a week from the Eagles last game, the Boys Basketball team was back in action on Thursday night at Hadaway’s Shack. The Eagles hosted the John Glenn Falcons in Northern Indiana Conference action.

The Eagles started out sluggish, falling behind quickly to the visiting Falcons. Adams was slow to get going offensively, making only 8 points in the first 8 minutes of play. Adams was able to finally find their grove as the second quarter got going, but still trailed Glenn 29-22 at halftime. That’s when the fire was lit. Coming out in the second half, the Eagles were not going to let Glenn be the first team to defeat Adams at home this season. Adams came out of the half on fire, out scoring Glenn 22-6. Six Adams players got in the stat book as the team took the lead going into the 4th quarter. Adams cruised to victory after another 24 points in the last 8 minutes. Not only did Adams play hard offensively, but Adams also fought defensively as well, forcing Glenn to make 20 turnovers.

Adams ultimately got the win 68-52 to secure the win, ensure the win streak at home, and build on their lead in the NIC.

Sydney Jefferies was the leading scorer for The Eagles. Jefferies led the way with 19 points.

Jefferies was joined by seven of his teammates on the boards. Quentez Columbus scored 12 points, Brayden Saxton scored 10 points, Lynn King had 9 points, TeVaughn Columbus scored 8 points, Kyrin McClatchey had 6 points, and Chuck Worsham and Harry Jeffers both had 2 points each.

Adams improves to 15-2 overall and 7-1 in the NIC.

Adams will play again on Saturday when they travel to take on non conference opponent Michigan City.
