After the come from behind win to secure the perfect season at home on Thursday night against Glenn, the Boys Basketball looked to improve on the road on Saturday afternoon, taking on Michigan City HS.
The Eagles could face the Wolves in a few weeks as both teams play in the LaPorte Sectional.
Both Adams and Michigan City were locked in a tight battle during the first half. The game was a virtual stalemate at halftime, with the Wolves holding just a one point lead. As the teams returned to the court for the second half, Adams would need to finally take control of the game if they wanted to leave with the important road win. Foul trouble in the second half began to hamper those plans. The foul trouble allowed Michigan City to pull away, taking the 73-68 win over Adams.
Lynn King had an impressive game for the Eagles, leading in scoring. King finished the afternoon with 24 points on the board.
Brayden Saxton scored 14 points, Sydney Jefferies had 12 points, Quentez Columbus scored 7 points, Chuck Worsham scored 6 points, Kyrin McClatchey had 3 points, and TeVaughn Columbus scored 2 points.
The Adams defense was able to force 22 turnovers and the team was 44% from the free throw line.
Adams is now 15-3 overall for the season. The Eagles will play again on Tuesday night in a big road game, taking on SB St Joseph in Northern Indiana Conference play.
